Itinerary: 

Day 1 Johannesburg & Soweto:
In the morning you will be taken to the Apartheid Museum. Then you will continue to the famous township of SOWETO, with its Orlando towers, the Hector Pietersen Museum and Mandela’s house in the famous Vilikazi street. The only street in the world to have held two winners of the Nobel Prize, Nelson Mandela, and Desmond Tutu. We will have lunch in a typical local shebeen (local word for bar) with some local food! We will then continue to visit Kliptown Youth Center, where you will learn about the different programs to help the township children to get a better education and to achieve their dreams. After this whole Soweto experience, we will be heading for our hotel.

Day 2 Graskop:
On our first day we will make our way towards the Highveld where we will have our first stop at the town of Dullstroom which is the highest village in South Africa, 2200m above sea level. You will have the opportunity to walk around and admire some cafes, restaurants and curio shops. Then we will continue towards the colonial village of Pilgrim Rest where we will have lunch and then you will have free time to discover the town of Pilgrim Rest with its original buildings dating back to the latest 1800’s before arriving to our accommodation. We will finish our day by settling in into our hotel in the town of Graskop, a town that is completely devoted to the tourism industry.

Day 3 Blyde River Canyon:
From Graskop we will drive towards The Blyde Canyon which is the third largest canyon in the world stretching for 26km, where we will depart on a 4hours trail (Leopards Trail) to discover the beautiful scenery of the canyon. We will be able to see a section of the Blyde river, the Blyde Dam and the famous Three Rondavels. After our walk, we will head for a most rewarded lunch, before we continue exploring another area of the Blyde Canyon, The Bourke’s Luck Potholes, famous for their formation and discovery of gold during the gold rush, and ending with the beautiful view of God’s window.

Days 4 – 5 Kruger National Park:
On this day we will drive towards the Kruger National park, our biggest national park here in South Africa, 20,000sq km and home to a huge variety of animals including the Big 5. Where we will first visit a Shangaan cultural village, where you get to experience the traditions of this tribe, and witness a dancing performance before having lunch. We will then head towards our accommodation that is at the skirts of the park, 2km away from the Numbi Gate, where we will be staying for two nights.
Hoping to find the most amazing and elusive animals of the African Bush, we will be spending our next two days doing game drives.

Day 6 Swaziland:
We will leave Kruger National Park to make our way towards the Kingdom of Swaziland where your first contact with the Swazi people will be at the Ngwenya Glass factory, which is the only glass factory in the country. We will continue making our way through the Kingdom towards our restaurant for lunch which is next to a local craft market and candle factory mostly known for its Swazi Candles. After our meal you will be able to glance at the Swazi craft and then learn about the making of these beautiful candles, before heading towards our accommodation.

Days 7 – 8 Rhino River Game Reserve:
We leave the Kingdom of Swaziland to make our way towards the Rhino River Game Reserve.
Upon our arrival, we will check in and then have some time to relax before we embark on our first afternoon 4×4 game drive.
On day 8 we will do a morning game and afternoon game with 4×4 vehicles. During your free time you can either relax by the pool, or choose to do one of the optional bushwalk in the reserve.
All the meals are included during your stay in the Reserve.

Days 9 – 10 St Lucia:
On this day we get to see and enjoy the eastern coast of South Africa, staying at the small town of St Lucia which is next to the Indian Ocean. Upon our arrival, you will be taken to the activity center where you will be able to book your optional activities for the following day. Afterwards you will be able to enjoy a free afternoon, either by walking in town, or relaxing by the pool or simply organizing a trip with your guide to go to the beach.
Please note that the lunches and dinners will be at your own expense.

Days 10 – 11 – 12 Drakensberg Mountains and Lesotho:
We leave the eastern shores to dive into the famous and spectacular mountain range of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg. Separating Lesotho from South Africa, this is the highest mountain range in Southern Africa, peaking at 3475m above sea level and stretching for more than 1000km. In Zulu the range is known as uKhahlamba meaning barrier of spears, and it has been declared a World Heritage Site.
We will spend the next day discovering the famous Sani Pass, where you will get to enjoy a nice hot drink at the Highest Pub in Africa (2850 m above sea level) before crossing to Lesotho where we will get to explore local villages with our local guide and learn more about their culture.
On day 12 we will embark on a walk to reach the famous Thaba Ntlenyana before heading back to South Africa and enjoy the free afternoon.

Days 13 – 14 Wild Coast:
We leave the mountain range to head towards the Indian ocean again, but this time towards the Wild Coast. We will be spending two nights next to the ocean, where you will get another opportunity to relax and enjoy the warm waters and sandy beaches of the east coast of South Africa or do optional activities like such as hikes over towering cliffs where waterfalls tumble into the sea, dense coastal forest walks, boogie boarding, surfing, horse riding, recreational fishing, Kayaking, bird watching, guided traditional and cultural tours, vehicle excursions such as Hole in the Wall, Mthata River Mouth/Mapuzi cliffs and sundowner trips.

Days 15 – 16 Addo Elephant Park:
We leave the eastern shores to go to one of the famous National Parks of the country, Addo Elephant Park. After our long transfer you will have time to relax by the camp.
The next day our day will start early in the morning where we will leave for a 3 hour morning 4×4 game drive hoping to see all of kinds of animals, especially the ones that are still active before dawn. After our game drive we will have then a nice breakfast and afterwards you will have the hottest hours of the day to relax, either by the pool or in front of the camp’s famous water whole, before leaving again for an afternoon 4×4 game drive.

Days 17 – 18 Tsitsikamma National Park:
On this day we will be heading towards Tsitsikamma National Park, a Khoisan word meaning, “place of much water”.  We will start discovering the beginning of the garden route and its amazing sceneries. Tsitsikamma has spectacular sea and landscapes, a remote mountainous region with secluded valleys and temperate high forests with deep river gorges leading down to the sea.
Our accommodation for two nights will be in the small town of Stormsriver. We will check in and then enjoy our lunch before having the afternoon at leisure. You can either relax or choose to do an optional activity.
On day 19, we will head towards the Tsitsikamma National Park where we will do our first walk of the day. We will walk the first part of the Otter trail reaching up to its famous waterfall where you will be able to take a swim. We will head back towards the main area of the park to enjoy a well deserve lunch, before taking another short walk to the famous Tsitsikamma suspension bridges where you will get to blend with the environment.

Day 19 Oudtshoorn:
Today we leave the ocean side to go to the Ostrich capital of the world in the town of Oudtshoorn.
We will go visit an ostrich farm where you will get to learn about the feather, leather and meat industry not only in South Africa but also around the world before we head towards the Cango Caves in the afternoon, which are estimated to be 20 million years old and are a World Heritage Site.

.Day 20 Hermanus:
We leave early so that we can reach the famous Tip Of Africa, the most southern point of the African continent and also where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. We will take some time to visit the area before heading towards the famous little town of Hermanus. Well known for its whales sightings!
You will have the opportunity the next day to book a optional tour to go and see the Southern Right whales or go Shark Cage diving.

Day 21 Cape Town:
This morning you will have the opportunity to do your optional activities in Hermanus.
We will leave the famous town after lunch and head towards the Mother City, Cape Town.
After settling into our accommodation and if weather permits it, we will go for a short walk in the city center and see the most famous places like Bo-Kaap, Company Gardens, and the Green Market, before discovering the famous mall of the Waterfront where we will be having dinner.

Day 22 Cape Town, Peninsula Tour:
On this day we will do the scenic route of the Peninsula tour, known for its breath-taking landscapes. We will be stopping at a fishermen town in Hout Bay, drive through Chapman’s Peak, visit the Cape of Good Hope Reserve and its famous Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, and the penguins of Boulders Beach. After this spectacular day, we will head towards our accommodation for freshening up before we go to a local restaurant for dinner.

Day 23 Cape Town, Table Mountain and Kristenbosch Gardens:
On this day you will have the opportunity to climb Table Mountain. The steep walk can take up to 2 hours depending on your physical condition. While climbing, you will enjoy the magnificent view of the city and once you get to the top you will admire the mountain range plus other views of Cape Town.
If you don’t feel like climbing, you are more than welcome to go up with the cable car (Please note that this will be at your own expense). After climbing we will head towards the famous Kristenbosch Botanical Gardens, where we will get to see many plants species

We will be meeting tonight for our last dinner as a group.
